Tomorrow, Wednesday May 4th, 2011, the Krispy Kreme in Center City Philadelphia opens. It’s located at 16th & Chestnut next to The Children’s Place. Yesterday I had the opportunity to stop by the VIP Open House to check the place out. Each person got a ticket for a beverage of their choice and a ticket that was good for two doughnuts of their choice. Talk about a tough decision. Check out their menu here.

We all know how delicious the original glazed doughnut is. Can you believe one of those is only 190 calories? Not too shabby for a doughnut! They are absolutely amazing, especially hot! But when I saw the Cookies n Cream doughnut…I must say that it was calling my name! It was a doughnut filled with cookies n cream with vanilla icing and lots of oreo cookies on top. This honestly has to be one of the BEST doughnuts I’ve ever eaten before.

THE FIRST CUSTOMER to walk through the door will receive one free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts every week for a year.
