I love Croutons. Who doesn’t? It’s bread and butter with seasonings baked to perfection. They are so flavorful and crunchy. One of the ingredients in The French Onion Division Series Dog is croutons, and I wanted to put a little spin on it. I had some of those Thomas’ Pretzel Bagels and figured I’d try making Pretzel Croutons! How bad could they be?!

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 clove of garlic, smashed
- salt & pepper

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Melt the butter in a saute pan over low heat. Add in the smashed clove of garlic, letting the garlic flavor infuse the butter. Do not let it burn.

Discard the garlic clove. Season the butter with a dash of salt and some freshly cracked black pepper. While the butter is melting, cut up the Pretzel Bagel into small bite-size pieces.

Toss the pieces of the pretzel bagel in the butter, coating all sides. Remove from the heat.

With tongs, place each piece of the pretzel bagel on a foil lined baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. Flip each piece of bread and bake for about 4 minutes. Remove from the oven and place on a plate lined with a paper towel.

These would also be delicious on a salad!
