An Apology and WWYMW?

First I want to take a moment to apologize for my blog being a hot mess yesterday. The designer that made my background and header images was hosting them on Photobucket, and they are having “issues” to say the least. So I had to wait until last night until she could transfer them over for me. I’m in the process of getting them moved over to my server so we shouldn’t have this issue again.

Okay, now that I have that out of the way – I have a “WWYMW?” – What Would You Make With… question. I got a box of fresh organic produce yesterday from Suburban Organics. LivingSocial offered this deal for $19 and I jumped on it. I didn’t think $19 was bad for a box of fresh organic produce that was delivered right to me! I don’t think I’d pay the normal price ($39), but this was great for a one-time thing.  It was filled with organic fruits and vegetables such as valencia oranges, lemons, fuji apples, braeburn apples, strawberries, yams, russet potatoes, a red onion, button mushrooms, and arugula.  I have plans for everything except the Arugula.

So tell me – what would you make with this big bunch of Arugula?

  2. I’ve seen recipes lately for arugula pesto. I also enjoy it with spinach in a strawberry salad.

  3. Is it wrong that my fridge just seems naked without some arugula in it? I use it in my tortellini soup, pesto, a great salad, on a GREAT PAT (pancetta, Arugula and Tomato) with arugula mayo – so many uses.

  4. I purchased that Living Social deal too and really enjoyed my box of organic fruits & veggies. Using the deal in the winter meant I received different veggies, no arugala for me! But when I do buy arugala, I’m in agreement with Aly that it makes a great salad to accompany a soup – or used directly in a hearty Italian soup. Enjoy!!!
