Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival: The Countown is on!

Three weeks from today I’ll be in sunny Miami soaking up all of the warm weather that I can. Here in Philly it’s been cold and dreary and I could really stand to get away from the daily grind and enjoy some nice, warm weather.

There is no better way to do it than head down to Miami for the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. This will be my first time at such a large event, and I’m so excited. The lineup is phenomenal and I can’t wait to check out some new products and learn some new things while I’m down there.

Now we all know how much I love CAKE!  There is going to be a 10th anniversary celebration Let Them Eat Cake featuring Emeril Lagasse and Martha Stewart.  There will be at least 10 pastry chefs, cake artists and confectioners (including Jacque Torres who I have to thank for that Wicked Pecan Brittle!) that will work their magic to come up with some delicacies to go with the cocktails that will be on hand for attendees to enjoy.

There will be some Philly Chefs attending the festival as well – Jose Garces and Marc Vetri – and I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves at Perrier-Jouët BubbleQ presented by Allen Brothers hosted by Bobby Flay. That is sure to be a phenomenal event. There’s nothing better than some barbecue and champagne!

Another event that I’m looking forward to is Food Network presents The Best Thing I Ever Ate at the Beach hosted by Duff Goldman. There are so many amazing people that are taking part in that event. Sunny Anderson, Claire Robinson, Marcela Valladolid,  Anne Burrell  and Festival Founder and Executive Lee Schrager will be there, just to name a few. Don’t miss this event!  I’m sure I’ll have no problem sharing with you all the Best Thing I Ever Ate in Miami when I return!
